Day 2 at Queen's Gate!

Today at Discovery Summer we have had a very busy day. We spent the morning exploring the Natural History museum! Each class went to a different exhibition of the museum, gathering information to help them with their class project this week.

Take a look at these pictures of Sally's class who were lucky enough to explore the butterfly conservatory at the museum. The exhibition is home to many amazing species and the students were able to learn hands on about the story and evolution of a butterfly, from caterpillar to cocoon. We were even able to watch some beautiful butterflies hatching and spreading their wings for the very first time!

The butterflies loved our bright yellow jackets!

After lunch the students had lots of fun during our afternoon activities.

We got creative and made some fantastic finger puppets. The students then worked together, using their imagination to come up with stories which they then drew in a comic book style.
