International Day at Queen's Gate- A report from our teens!

Today was a very special day here at Queen's Gate! To celebrate all the different nationalities at our school, flags were hung up and food was prepared as we celebrated International Day!

For this post we will hand you over to our teens who have been busy interviewing the staff and students today. They have put together a fantastic post about the wonderful occasion...

International Food Day at Queen’s Gate

Today, to celebrate the diversity of students’ nationalities here at Queen’s Gate, some people brought food from their country to share with everyone.

For example, Sasha from Russia brought wonderful blini (pancakes) with cream and caviar. Evie from Korea brought sweet and sour yellow radish. Beren from Turkey brought Turkish Delight and Akide candy, and Agata from Poland brought chocolate wafer cake. There were many other dishes, and all of them were delicious!

Zofia loved the Saudi rice with chicken: “It tastes like a real Arabian food.”

Maxim enjoyed the Scottish shortbread: “It was sweet and delicious.”

With this food we travelled deep into the traditions of different countries.

A special report from the Teens class

And finally we'd like to say a HUGE thank you to all the parents for the time they spent preparing the delicious food for today!
