Sunshine, Museum Trips and a Sock Puppet!

We're only on Tuesday but the students at Queen's Gate have been very busy exploring London and getting creative!

The teens spent yesterday afternoon at the National Gallery where they enjoyed the work of Van Gogh, Rubens, Poussin, Claude and more. As they wandered around, their teacher Hannah was particularly impressed with the students knowledge of 17th and 18th century art!

This morning all the students went on a trip to the Victoria and Albert museum around the corner. The museum is the largest in the world of decorative arts and design! We spent the morning completing work sheets, gathering information and exploring fashion and arts from all through the ages!

Back at Queen's Gate we have been bringing socks to life! The students designed their own sock puppets and then made them using wool, fabrics and googly eyes.

Keep an eye on the blog, we are having a Discovery Summer talent show here tomorrow afternoon which we are very much looking forward to!
